Project:

This was the first Olympic Park preparation scheme for the London 2012 Games which saw the permanent transformation of the skyline of East London by removing 52 pylons and involved creating 13 kilometres of tunnels and installation of 200km of power cabling.

The project, which began in July 2005, was the first major contract let for the 2012 London Olympics and included the construction of 7,000 metres of 2.82 ID tunnel for EDF Energy and 6,000 metres of 4.15 ID Tunnel for National Grid and iincluded the construction of seven Head House buildings.

This project for the Olympic Village was awarded Project of the Year 2009 by the Association for Project Management.

Project Details:

Brandclad Ltd designed and installed the roof and wall cladding to all seven of the Head Houses on this project. Cladding installed by Brandclad Ltd on all 7 construction sites is 100% Carbon neutral. Its Carbon footprint being off set against a range of environmentally friendly initiatives across the globe.
